ABOUT ME
My wife and I are both from Albuquerque, New Mexico. We met in college and were married in 1990. We have three grown children and one grandson, all living in the. DFW metroplex. We live in Fort Worth, Texas.
I have been serving as the Worship Pastor at Burleson Bible Church since 1996. I am thankful for the life I have through Jesus Christ and His grace that enables me to serve and live daily for Him. I enjoy leading in corporate worship and enabling others to express a heart-felt response to God's grace through music.
THE WOOD
My love for flutes began many years ago. I have been playing bamboo flutes of many kinds, but playing the shakuhachi is my greatest love of all instruments. The shakuhachi is an end-blown bamboo flute. It was brought to Japan in the late 7th century.
I also enjoy playing the concert flute, the alto flute, the Native American flute, and many other bamboo flutes.
THE BRASS
I began playing the trumpet at eight years old and fell in love with the classical piccolo trumpet. I went on to receive a Bachelor and a Master of Music degree in trumpet performance. Click below to hear a clip of me playing the Abblassen fanfare by Gottfried Reiche.

Shofar
I have been playing the shofar for twenty-five years. What is a shofar? Shofar (שופר) is simply the Hebrew word for trumpet. My main shofar is made from a Yemenite Kudu antelope. My other is a ram's horn.
THE KEYS
I bought my first synthesizer in 1985 and have enjoyed creating music on various types of synthesizers ever since.
In 1984, my life changed when a friend brought his Roland JUNO-106 synthesizer to school. I didn't know much about it, but I knew I had to have one and about a year later I did. Since that time I have enjoyed creating music on many different types of synthesizers. While I have several modern synths, I especaiily enjoy vintage Roland gear. Creating unique sounds and incorporating them into my music is a deep passion of mine. I do not use software synths, nor do I use a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I record each track live.
